« PETITE PLAISANCE »

This magnificent house is named «Petite Plaisance» after writer Marguerite Yourcenar who had given this name to her retreat on Île des Monts-Déserts where she used to seek refuge for a complete rest. She herself said of Petite Plaisance : «When one enjoys being somewhere, one should stay there.*»

*«Quand on est bien dans un lieu, il faut y rester.»

The Petite Plaisance is a live-in Auberge, alive in all the nooks and crannies of its history. Full of decorative objects polished by time, it is the ideal image of a country house of the last century.
